Description

Book Title : Statistics for Agricultural Sciences | Data Analysis for Agriculture | AGPH Books

Statistics for Agricultural Sciences provides a practical and systematic introduction to statistical methods used in agricultural research, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making. The book explains important statistical concepts such as sampling techniques, data classification, tabulation, measures of central tendency and dispersion, probability theory, correlation, regression analysis, and statistical inference. Moreover, it connects these concepts with real agricultural applications to improve understanding and practical use. Each topic includes clear explanations that strengthen both theoretical knowledge and analytical skills in agricultural studies.

In addition, the book discusses advanced statistical topics such as experimental design, randomized block designs, completely randomized designs, Latin square designs, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and non-parametric statistical methods. These methods support scientific experimentation, hypothesis testing, and accurate interpretation of agricultural research findings. Furthermore, the text highlights the role of statistical reasoning in improving productivity, resource management, crop planning, and evidence-based agricultural development. As a result, readers gain a deeper understanding of how statistical tools support agricultural innovation and sustainable practices.

The book is designed for students, researchers, academicians, and professionals in agricultural sciences. It bridges the gap between statistical theory and applied agricultural research through step-by-step examples, real datasets, and practical case studies. Additionally, the text combines conceptual learning with applied problem-solving to enhance research competence and analytical ability. Consequently, readers develop essential quantitative skills required for modern agricultural research, field experimentation, and policy-oriented agricultural planning. Overall, the book serves as a valuable academic resource for strengthening data analysis skills and promoting data-driven agricultural development.
