Book Title: Soil Nutrient Management for Sustainable Agriculture | Plant Nutrition Strategies | AGPH Books

Healthy soil is the foundation of productive agriculture, environmental sustainability, and global food security. As agricultural systems continue to face challenges such as declining soil fertility, nutrient imbalance, land degradation, and climate change, the need for scientific and sustainable nutrient management has become more important than ever. This book, Soil Nutrient Management for Sustainable Agriculture, presents a comprehensive understanding of the principles and practices required to maintain soil health while ensuring long-term agricultural productivity. The content systematically explores the science of soil formation, essential plant nutrients, nutrient cycles, soil fertility, and nutrient availability before progressing to plant nutrition, fertilizers, organic manures, bio fertilizers, and integrated nutrient management. It further examines modern techniques for soil fertility evaluation, precision nutrient management, nutrient use efficiency, and crop specific nutrient recommendations. Equal emphasis is given to sustainable soil conservation, carbon sequestration, climate smart agriculture, environmental protection, and responsible fertilizer use, reflecting the growing importance of balancing agricultural production with ecological preservation. Designed in a clear and structured manner, this book combines fundamental concepts with contemporary advancements in digital technologies, decision support systems, and soil quality monitoring. It serves as a reliable academic resource for undergraduate and postgraduate students, educators, researchers, agricultural professionals, and extension workers who seek a thorough understanding of sustainable soil nutrient management and its vital role in securing the future of agriculture.
