About the Author
Dr. Monisa Qadiri
Dr. Monisa Qadiri is a Media Educator from J&K and teaches at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Kashmir, since 2009. She has been invited as a Visiting Faculty for Communication Skills at IIM Indore in 2024. Her research interests include films, social media, and gender, with cross-sectional perspectives focusing on communication. Her paper on films and religion has been included in the syllabi of Queen Mary University of London and Virginia Commonwealth University.
She has collaborated with Columbia Law School Clinic on an education project and serves as a Review Editor for Frontiers in Digital Health. A recipient of several prestigious fellowships, she was awarded the Kopenhaver Fellowship (Florida International University) in 2021, the Commonwealth Professional Fellowship in 2019, and the Bridge Institute UK–Kalinga Fellowships in 2017 and 2021. Additionally, she serves on the Alumni Advisory Panel of the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission, UK, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Association of Development Communication.
Dr. Qadiri has served as a trainer in communication skills and youth capacity building and has delivered lectures at national and international forums. She is a member of several Boards of Studies across institutions in India and is the Joint Secretary of the Public Relations Society of India (J&K Chapter). She has also served as the University’s first Media Advisor to the Vice Chancellor, headed the PR and Media Centre, and currently oversees the International Affairs Office and social media at the university, with over 17 years of experience in teaching, research, and industry.
Dr. Preetam Singh
Dr. Preetam Singh is an academician and researcher in the field of Psychology and Social Work with over a decade of teaching experience. He has been serving as a Guest Faculty in the Department of Social Work at Awadhesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa, since 2013. Dr. Singh holds a Ph.D. in Psychology, with his doctoral research focusing on life stress, depression, and health status among working and non-working women. He also possesses postgraduate qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, and Tourism Administration, reflecting his interdisciplinary academic background. His research interests include mental health, stress management, counselling, women’s psychological well-being, and social issues. Dr. Singh has published several research papers in reputed national and international journals and has actively participated in academic conferences, seminars, and workshops. Sajitha V. Nair
Sajitha V. Nair is an accomplished academician serving as an Assistant Professor at the NRI Institute of Information Science and Technology, Bhopal. She holds an MBA in Human Resource Management and Marketing from Medi-Caps College, Indore, and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. from Bhabha University, Bhopal.
