The term "natural resource management" refers to the process of managing natural resources such land, water, soil, plants, and animals, with a specific emphasis on how management affects the quality of life for both current generations and generations yet to come (stewardship). The administration of natural resources entails controlling the ways in which humans and natural landscapes interact with one another.
