Dr. M. Muthumari, Associate Professor and Head of Botany, currently working in G.T.N. Arts College (Autonomous), Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. Having 25 Years of Teaching Experience. Served as Coordinator in Internal Quality Assurance Cell [IQAC] of the Institute under the National Assessment and Accreditation Council [NAAC] for about 8 Years and received A++ Grade during the 2nd Cycle. Published Eight Research Papers in various National and International Peer Reviewed Journals. And presented Six Research Papers in National Level Conferences. Attended more than 20 National and International Seminars/Conferences, 3 National Level Workshops on "Plant Taxonomical Study", "Woody Plant Tissue Culture" and "IUCN Redlist Assessment of Plant Diversity" and 1 State Level Workshop on "DNA Barcoding of Plants". Organised Two Workshops on "Mushroom Cultivation" and "Entrepreneurship through Moringa and Herbal Products" and One Webinar on "Plant Molecular Changes in SPACE". Also acted as Resource Person in 3 Days "Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp" sponsored by Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi. Completed 2 NPTEL Online Certification in "Perspectives on Neurolinguistic" and "Bioreactor". Published a Book titled "Environmental Studies" with ISBN No.978-81-2343-901-3 as the Second Author. Guided Three Interdisciplinary Projects of Undergraduate students of Zoology under the aegis of DBT Star College Scheme, New Delhi. Area of Research interest is in Environmental Mitigation.

Have done Msc in microbiology, P.hD in Microbiology, from Karnatak University, Dharwad. And also completed Msc in Zoology from Ksou, Mysore. And also completed B.ed in science from Vijayapur womens university. Bijapur. Expertize in molecular biology, Genetic engineering, Microbiology and well versed in NGS. My research topics are microbial diversity of ant gut, has worked on two ants- weaver ant and carpenter ants, research going on ant gut microbial functional diversity, this topic explores there functions in gut healthy which directly affects ant health, this study opens a vast ideas to the doorway to the present research going on globally on Human gut microbiome.
