Dr. Jaya Singh

Dr. Jaya Singh has been actively engaged in literary writing since the twentieth century. Her creative and academic works have been widely published in reputed daily newspapers such as Navbharat, Deshbandhu, and Amrit Sandesh, as well as in well-known magazines including Sarita, Kadambini, and Aha Zindagi. She has authored approximately 55 research papers, 50 articles, around 60 poems, and numerous review articles. Her research papers have been presented at both national and international conferences and seminars. She has also been honoured by PLAI for her excellent research paper presentation. Since 1984, Dr. Jaya has been associated with All India Radio as an announcer, presenting programs on various subjects. She has also worked as an interviewer with Doordarshan Kendra Raipur. Since 2008, she has been contributing to Gyanvani broadcast from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), where she has coordinated and participated in live phone-in programs. With over 26 years of teaching experience, she has made significant contributions to academic research. Under her guidance, 5 researchers have completed postgraduate dissertations, 4 scholars have earned the degree of Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.), and 3 researchers have been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.). Currently, 2 research scholars are pursuing their doctoral research under her supervision. She has also delivered lectures as a subject expert at various colleges and universities. She holds B.A. and B.Ed. degrees, along with M.A. degrees in Sociology, Hindi Literature, and Education. She has also completed studies in Journalism and Mass Communication, Commercial Practice, and Hindi Stenography from M.P. Technical Board, Bhopal. She earned her M.Phil. in Linguistics and was awarded a Ph.D. in Hindi Literature in 2009. At present, she is pursuing a D.Litt. degree in Hindi Literature. Currently, she serves as the Head of the Department of Arts and Humanities at ICFAI University, Raipur.
