About the Author
Dr. Ranganathaiah C B, a dedicated legal academician with over sixteen years of teaching experience, joined Government Law College, Ramanagara through Karnataka Public Service Commission on 03 September 2009 and has since contributed extensively to the field of legal education. He is presently serving as Associate Professor of Law at Government Law College, Kolar, having been promoted under the Career Advancement Scheme on 16 September 2023. He has served as a Resource Person at the Police Training School, Channapatna and the District Training Institute, Ramanagara, and has actively taken part in NSS activities at the undergraduate level. His academic engagements include serving as a Board of Examiners Member for Bangalore University Law College and Bangalore Central University, working as Squad Chairman for Karnataka State Law University, and contributing as a question paper setter and valuator for law examinations, including assignments under Karnataka Public Service Commission. Dr. Ranganathaiah has published several research articles in international, national, and UGC CARE-listed journals, and has also served on the editorial boards of UGC CARE-listed journals and academic textbooks. He holds a Ph.D. in Law, with his doctoral research titled "A Critical Study of Prison Reforms in India: An Overview of the Prevailing System of Prisons in Karnataka." His areas of expertise include criminology, white-collar crime, Penology, Victimology, BNS, BNSS, BSA, and personal laws, reflecting his strong academic foundation and commitment to advancing legal scholar and education.
