Book Title: Green Chemistry: Principles, Practices and Sustainable Solutions | AGPH Books
Green Chemistry: Principles, Practices, and Sustainable Solutions is a comprehensive guide that bridges the gap between scientific innovation and environmental responsibility. In a world grappling with climate change, pollution, and dwindling natural resources, this book offers a roadmap for chemists, researchers, and industry professionals to design processes that are not only efficient but also ecologically conscious. The text explores the core principles of green chemistry, emphasizing waste prevention, energy efficiency, safer chemical design, and the use of renewable feedstocks. It goes beyond theory, illustrating practical applications across diverse sectors, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, energy, and materials science. Readers are introduced to modern techniques such as microwave-assisted synthesis, ultrasound-promoted reactions, photochemistry, and mechanochemistry, which exemplify how innovation can harmonize with sustainability. In addition to methodologies, the book addresses the broader implications of green chemistry on pollution reduction, resource conservation, carbon footprint minimization, and sustainable industrial practices. It presents case studies and real-world examples, highlighting the transformative potential of environmentally responsible chemistry in creating a circular economy and supporting global sustainability goals. Crafted to engage both students and professionals, this book combines rigorous scientific content with a forward-looking perspective. It aims to inspire not just understanding, but action — encouraging the adoption of greener, safer, and more sustainable practices in every chemical endeavor. Ultimately, it envisions a future where chemistry advances human progress while preserving the planet for generations to come.
