About the Author
Dr. Ajay Amit is currently an Assistant Professor at the Department of Forensic Science, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, India. He initially studied biotechnology and then earned his Ph.D. from Calcutta University in Leishmania Immunology. His doctoral research focused on Leishmania-mediated immunosuppression and vaccine development against Leishmania donovani. After completing his doctorate, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His postdoctoral work was on the immunology of immuno-thrombocytopenia. Dr. Amit has cleared CSIR-UGC as a Junior Research Fellow (JRF). He has published over 30 research articles in highly reputed international journals and has worked as a reviewer for various international journals. Additionally, Dr. Amit serves as an editorial member of internationally recognized journals. His current research interests include forensic biology and serology, especially in the immunology of abusive drugs.
Miss. Megha Yadav is a Senior Doctoral Scholar in the Department of Forensic Science, Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur (C.G.). She has obtained a University Gold Medal in her Master’s degree in Forensic Science. The area of her research is drug abuse and associated immunity. Her work includes the assessment of different herbal products that may be useful in the rehabilitation of chronic drug abusers. Miss Megha has cleared the University Grants Commission (UGC) NET JRF and is currently receiving the Senior Research Fellowship (SRF). She has qualified Forensic Aptitude and Caliber Test (FACT PLUS), organized by Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in Forensics Chemical Sciences and Forensic Document Examination. She has won awards in several National and International Conferences. The work of Ms. Megha has been published in several reputable national and international journals.
Miss. Blessi Naresh Uikey, working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Forensic Science at Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya (GGU), having more than 6 years of teaching experience. She has worked in Forensic Science laboratory, and having experience of analyzing wide range of biological and serological Evidences. Currently, Ms. Blessi is pursuing her PhD in Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Serology and Molecular Biology. She has supervised over fifty Master’s students on their dissertation work. Along with academic responsibilities, she has been a member of various university administrative committees as well as committees related to social welfare. The work of Ms. Blessi has been highlighted by her numerous publications in national and international journals.
