Dr. T. Ramanathan is a distinguished academician and researcher. He serves as Professor and Director at the Centre of Advanced Study in Marine Biology, Faculty of Marine Sciences, Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India.

He has over two decades of teaching and research experience. His expertise includes marine biology, mangrove conservation, ethnopharmacology, marine biotechnology, and natural product research.

Dr. Ramanathan holds a Ph.D. in Marine Biology and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Education. He has guided many M.Sc., M.Phil., and Ph.D. scholars. His work has contributed significantly to higher education and research development.

He has published more than 285 research papers, book chapters, and scientific articles in national and international journals. He also holds multiple patents in marine and bioresource innovations.

His contributions have earned him several prestigious awards and fellowships. Through research, teaching, and leadership, he continues to make a strong impact in interdisciplinary science and education.
